Shady and rude

We filed a claim with SafeCo with regard to hail damage done to our roof. We requested that an adjuster call to schedule an appointment to come inspect the roof with our roofer. Instead, Mr. Thomas came onto our property without scheduling an appointment to inspect it himself and refused to wait for our roofer (who was on his way) to arrive to point out the items of damage. Then, on the phone later, Mr. Thomas was condescending and made us feel as if we were doing something wrong by filing the claim. Then he informed us that since only 50% of the roof was damaged, that’s all he would file the claim for. A roof which is 50% damaged is a ruined roof! And in any event, there was no call for his uncooperative and shifty behavior or his accusatory tone. Our roofer, who has dealt with several claims for the hail damage in our neighborhood, is shocked at this adjuster’s behavior and said he has never witnessed an adjuster interrogate in this manner.
